Schedule 84 Listing Means Government Agencies Can Easily Contract for IPC’s Security Services.

BANNOCKBURN, IL – (June, 2010) – IPC International announced today that it has been added to the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) federal supplier list as an authorized vendor of security services.

The new listing on the GSA schedule will allow federal, state and local agencies to more easily contract for IPC’s security services through the GSA contracting vehicle. GSA schedules are open-ended, five-year contracts listing the prices the government has negotiated to pay for suppliers’ products and services. Vendors must pass through an arduous and lengthy review process in order to be approved for GSA listing. Buyers save time and reach better purchasing decisions by procuring through the pre-approved list of suppliers.

“Security services, including canine and armed officers and uniforms and equipment through IPC’s subsidiary, Uniformity, Inc. are readily available through a GSA schedule contract. IPC is excited about the great opportunity this contract affords us to do work for the U.S. Government,” said Joe Kilner, Senior Vice President, Government Security Group. “Now that IPC holds a GSA schedule, our 30 + years experience working in the commercial sector combined with a number of government clients will help government agencies and U.S. citizens benefit from the protective services we provide”.

Agencies procuring IPC’s security services through the GSA schedule contract will benefit from a greatly reduced acquisition timeline, pre-negotiated rates and terms, and can short-circuit the sometimes cumbersome RFP/approval processes, all of which make selecting IPC attractive to government decision-makers.

“After more than 20 years working in the U.S. Secret Service, I am eager to leverage my experience and be a part of the newly formed Government Security Group,” said Russell C. Collett, Chief Operating Officer, IPC International. “We have the resources, expertise and experience to really excel in this market.”

GSA Schedule 84, Contract GS-07F-0477W
Government agencies and other organizations using the GSA schedule for purchases may now contract for IPC’s security services through GSA Contract Number GS- GS-07F-0477W, Schedule 84, Total Solutions for Law Enforcement, Security, Facilities Management, Fire, Rescue, Clothing, Marine Craft and Emergency/Disaster Response. IPC will provide Protective Service Operations (SIN 246-54) and Canine Training and Handling Equipment/Canine Search and Detection (SIN 426-2A).
