Pyramid Management Group in Syracuse, N.Y., has chosen IPC International Corporation to provide security services to 15 shopping centers in New York State and Massachusetts. Security was previously handled in-house, and IPC is looking forward to managing security at 15 of Pyramid’s properties, and providing their employees, tenants and customers with a safe and welcoming environment.
"Over the years, we have set the bar high in delivering best-in-class security services to the shopping center industry. When we are fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to service an entire portfolio of centers for a client, we can raise that bar even higher," stated Russ Collett, Chief Operating Officer at IPC International. "We will focus the entire depth of IPC’s expertise and support to deliver a level of service that will exceed our client’s expectations."
Paul J. Wehrle, Director of Operations for Pyramid Management Group reaffirmed the quality and integrity of IPC’s Security Services, "We take great pride in providing our visitors with exceptional security services, but after careful consideration and discussion within our organization, we decided to see if there were other options to enhance these services. We would not have made this decision if it did not ensure a safe shopping and entertainment experience for the tens of millions of customers that visit our centers each year."
Pyramid Management Group manages malls throughout New York State and Massachusetts, including Walden Galleria (Buffalo, NY), Aviation Mall (Queensbury, NY), Crossgates Mall (Albany, NY), Shops at Ithaca Mall (Ithaca, NY), Champlain Centre (Plattsburgh, NY), Galleria at Crystal Run (Middletown, NY), Hudson Valley Mall (Kingston, NY), Palisades Center (West Nyack, NY), Poughkeepsie Galleria (Poughkeepsie, NY), Salmon Run (Watertown, NY), Sangertown Square (Utica, NY), Berkshire Mall (Pittsfield, MA), Hampshire Mall (Hadley, MA), Holyoke Mall (Holyoke, MA) and Independence Mall (Kingston, MA).
The announcement follows an industry trend towards outsourcing shopping center security. Wehrle commented, "We have been closely monitoring this trend in the industry and we are confident that based on the success of outsourcing security services at other shopping centers throughout the United States, this model will work for our organization, especially with a company of the stature of IPC."
